What is RFID?
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a small chip, or tag, attached to some object that a tag reader can read at short range via radio waves. These items can be close or separate and are used in a variety of applications from credit cards, ticketing, and even inventory tracking.
Main applications
-
RFID AGV and AGC Tags
RFID tags and readers for Unmanned Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) equipment are becoming more and more common in warehousing, manufacturing and logistics management.
Labels for AGV and AGC eliminate the traditional and time-consuming way of manually recording the quantity of products transported by AGV, which also solves many problems related to information errors that occur when inventory is recorded manually.
By implementing tags and readers for AGV and AGC applications, you can reduce the amount of labor typically required in these environments, not to mention greatly reduced product losses.
-
RFID tags for animals.
Identify and track animals, livestock, fish and pets using RFID ear tags or injection vial tags. Tags can be custom printed with tag data, logo, ranch name and are available in various colors.
RFID, Inc. ISO standard UHF 915 MHz livestock tags are the most innovative tags in the livestock handling industry, capable of reading multiple animals simultaneously with a 7 meter read range.
-
RFID asset tracking.
Asset tracking tags, such as file servers or rental equipment, provide a quick way to take inventory and know what assets are and where.
They offer the ability to easily track, locate and manage your assets, from rental hardware to servers and tools. Asset Tracking Labels are customizable and available in more durable PVC or label form, with both pop-up and adhesive backing.
Additionally, asset tags are programmable, printable, mountable on any material, including metal, and reach up to 30 feet of read range.
-
RFID tags for consumables
RFID counterfeit protection tags are applied to consumables while a reader is installed in a machine to allow verification and confirmation that a third party counterfeit or counterfeit is not being attempted.
Miniature RFID anti-counterfeiting tags are encoded with a readable Electronic Product Code (EPC) so that they can be permanently integrated into products to accurately and quickly identify legitimate products from counterfeit products.
By using RFID to track consumables, the unique EPC represents hidden digital DNA that counterfeiters cannot reproduce.
-
Manufacturing with RFID systems.
The labels apply to virtually every product manufactured today, from clothing, furniture, to medical supplies, appliances, and automobiles.
RFID process control is an integral part of any automated factory product manufacturing system. Implementing and using manufacturing systems reduces costs and increases operations in the factory, allowing managers and workers to focus on the other important aspects of day-to-day process control management.
-
High temperature RFID tags.
High temperature tags have proven their survivability in applications ranging from automotive manufacturing to downhole oil and gas pipelines, laundry and autoclaving.
Our wide selection of heat resistant labels offers everything from compact designs that can be inserted into metal and vehicle tires to integrated wire labels capable of withstanding extreme temperatures.
-
Industrial RFID readers and tags.
Variety of industrial tags and readers offering a robust and rugged industrial identification solution for duress applications.
Industrial ID products can survive all weather conditions, whether it’s by placing tags underground or on industrial assets that are outside in the summer sun, freezing winters, or as displayed on deep-water cables that survive years of use. 10,000 feet below surface level.
Rugged technology enables the fastest and most accurate identification process by simply applying a tag to an industrial asset and combining it with an industrial reader.
