When we talk about getting information from multiple load cells, we certainly have some analog options like a junction box, but what’s the next big step for weighting technology? The multichannel weight transmitters are the upgrade we have been looking for.

LAUMAS designed these devices to be easy to use, efficient and versatile. The device itself integrates a microcontroller that works as a digital equalizer for the load cells so that you won’t have to use a junction box or build an analog compensator to build your own weighing platform.

Now the multichannel weight transmitters TLB4TLM8 and CLM8 can be managed completely remotely, via fieldbus.

DIGITAL-ANALOG WEIGHT TRANSMITTER    ( RS485 )

  • 4 independent reading channels for load cells (individual load cell monitoring, total weight displaying, digital equalization).
  • 16-bit Analog output: 0/4-20 mA; 0-5/10 V; ±5/10 V

  • RS485 port (Modbus RTU/Laumas ASCII protocol)

  • 2 logic inputs, 3 relay outputs

  • OIML R76:2006 approved, class III, 10000 divis. 0.2μV/VSI

  • Mounting on Omega/DIN rail for front/back panel

The calibration process of a Multichannel weight transmitter is a really easy five minute process and it will be ready to go.

When we say versatile, we mean it, you can have your multichannel weight transmitter with any fieldbus you require. Within the available models you’ll find:

  • Modbus RTU
  • CANOPEN
  • DeviceNet
  • CC-Link
  • Profibus
  • Profinet IO
  • Ethernet/IP
  • Modbus/TCP
  • Ethernet TCP/IP
  • Ethercat
  • PowerLink
  • SERCOS III

What can be controlled with a PLC or PC?

Configure parameters and manage procedures and programs: everything that up to now could only be set from the instrument keyboard can now be controlled directly with a PLC and PC.

You can set all the parameters:
  • Theoretical calibration parameters.

  • Diagnostic settings.

  • Filter.

  • Zero parameters.

  • Configuration of inputs and outputs.

With its operating parameters of batching constants and formula programming, it allows multichannel transmitters to manage and control batching applications.

If you have a weighing project, you might want to try these devices!
