Remaining close to the structure to be weighed, it receives and interprets the weaker electrical signal from the load cells, and ensures that the stronger one from the fieldbus can travel uninterrupted even over long distances, thus carrying its reprocessed message to the PLC.

The TLM8 weight transmitter receives, binds, translates and transmits: it is friendly to all types of communication.
Like a true mediator, it links the weighing system with the PLC, harmonizing their different languages.
To achieve this, it interfaces with up to 14 different fieldbuses, has 3 digital inputs and 5 relay outputs, and by default has an RS485 Modbus RTU serial port and a 16-bit output.
5. IDENTIFY AND SOLVE PROBLEMS
There is no complexity or challenge that the TLM8 weight transmitter is not willing to face and solve to make everyone’s job easier.
When installed in the field near the weighing system, it avoids the use of the junction box: it becomes a “smart” box in itself, thanks to built-in diagnostics and digital equalization, which equalizes the response of the connected load cells.
The graphical backlit LCD display facilitates diagnostics by graphically displaying the operation of all 8 channels, the load distribution and the response signal in mV on each active channel.
Diagnostics are even more immediate thanks to the TEST key: an exclusive direct access that allows direct access to them without having to go through the instrument menu.
