Industrial Wireless Structural Monitoring Sensor

Wireless structural monitoring sensors for industrial applications are typically used for structural displacement monitoring, allowing movement and shift detection between two points.

How does the wireless structural monitoring sensor work?

A retractable wire cable of 50cm in length is used for structural monitoring (fully extended). The sensor is constantly attempting to pull the cable back. The sensor indicates values ranging from 0 to 1023 as the cable is extended between 0 and 50cm. The sensor that comes with the kit should be used to track movement between two places. Between the cable’s end and the sensor, any structural adjustments or displacement will be noticed. Only extension or contraction are measured by the sensor, not angular changes in the cable. Most applications would benefit from employing a partially stretched cable because the sensor would detect any expansion or retraction of the cable.
