WHAT IS A WIRELESS TRANSMITTER?
A wireless transmitter is a device that converts the audio signal to a radio signal and broadcasts it via an antenna as a radio wave. The antenna may protrude from the bottom of the transmitter or be hidden within. Government regulations limit the power of radio transmission.
A wireless transmitter works with a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter connects to a PLC or any other device which is expecting the signal from the sensor. The receiver can be used to power up to a transducer connected to this receiver. The wireless transmitter should have independent inputs.
How does a wireless transmitter work?
Electromagnetic waves are sent and received via radio. A radio signal is an electronic currency that travels back and forth at a high rate. A transmitter sends this field outward via an antenna, which a receiver picks up and converts to the sounds heard on the radio.
How does a wireless receiver work?
The receiver’s job is to take up the radio signal emitted and convert it into an audio signal. There are two types of wireless receivers on the market.
